The Olympic Stadium (Olympiastadion) is a venue rich in history. It was
the stadium where American athlete Jesse Owens memorably won 4 gold
medals in the 1936 Olympics. Since then, the stadium underwent a huge
transformation in 2004 at a cost of €292 million and will be the venue for the
FIFA 2006 World Cup Final.

workers found an unexploded bomb from World War II which was safely
detonated
